Welcome to the blog of students and interns at the Hamilton Kerr Institute! The Institute (HKI) is the paintings conservation department of the Fitzwilliam Museum, University of Cambridge, and a centre of teaching and research in the field.

In this blog, students and interns share experiences of their paintings conservation training at the HKI. The posts feature complex studio treatments, reconstructions and scientific analysis of paintings, as well as visits to other studios and conferences.
